km from the hotel. The Temple is famous for its
Marble Sculpture / Carvings etc. Head quarters of the Radha Swami religion. Here
the holy ashes of the founder of the faith have been
preserved. Also a place where daily congregational
service of satsang is held. Open : 08-00 to 17-00
hrs.

MAN-KA-MESHWAR TEMPLE
It is approximately 5km from the hotel and open's in the
morning about 5am and closes only at night. This temple is
dedicated to Lord Bhole Shankar.

MASJID
Built
by Jahanara Begum in 1648 AD, the squat domes with their
zig-zag pattern of red and white and be absence of minarels,
make it different from other mosques.

Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb |
ITMAD-UD-DAULAH'S
TOMB
Situated
on the banks of river Yamuna, the Itmad-ud-daula's
tomb is a celebrated example of Mughal architecture.
It was built by Empress Nur Jahan, the wife of the
fourth Mughal monarch, Jahangir, in the memory of
her father Ghias Beg who was a Persian noble in Jahangir's
court. The tomb looks like a jewel box encased in
white marble and intricate inlaid stonework.
The
Itmad-ud-daulah was the first Mughal structure totally
constructed of marble and the first to make extensive
use of pietra dura, inlay work of marble. There are
also extremely fine marble latticework passages admitting
light to the interior.

CHINI-KA-ROZA
9 km. This tomb in glazed tiles. Halfway between Ram
Bagh and Itmad-ud-Daulah's tomb, is a memorial to
Allama Afzel Khal Mullah Shukrullah of Shiraz, a well
known poet-scholar who took employment with Emperor
Jahangir in 1617 and later became the prime minister
under Emperor Shah Jahan. He he died in Lahore in
1639 and his body was brought to Agra for burial.
MARIYAM'S
TOMB
13 km. On the Delhi-Agra National Highway No. 2. Mariyam-us-Zamani
(Mary-of-the-age) was the Rajput wife of Emperor Akbar.
The tomb, built in 1611 AD, is of red sandstone and
lies in the centre of a garden. Its carvings on red
sandstone
are particularly noteworthy.

GEORGES CATHERDRAL
This is the
oldest cathedral of the (church of north India) and is
situated approximately 1.5km from the hotel.

This is
approximately 5 km from the hotel and is the oldest
cathedral in Agra belonging to the Roman Catholic.
